PONDERINGS
ART and RELATIONSHIPS
Sometimes in relationships we are opposites and our personalities can clash, yet if we can shift our perception to a higher octave it can be a time to transmute this force into something beautiful. To weld or meld our differences just as lead can be turned into gold.
For example if one is on fire then the other has the choice to be fire and increase the flame or choose to be water and can cool the other off. Or if you feel blue and I am green then we can make beautiful turquoise.
ART
In placid hours well-pleased we dream
Of many a brave unbodied scheme.
But form to lend, pulsed life create,
What unlike things must meet and mate:
A flame to melt—a wind to freeze;
Sad patience—joyous energies;
Humility—yet pride and scorn;
Instinct and study; love and hate;
Audacity—reverence. These must mate,
And fuse with Jacob’s mystic heart,
To wrestle with the angel—Art.
- H. Melville
